On May 5th 2005 the inaugural Media Dialogues Forum took place in The Village in Dublin.  The first meeting was centred around the Television medium and brought together the cream of speakers (both from Ireland and Abroad) from the industry.

The format involves 15 minute presentations from each speaker followed by questions and finally an open forum with delegates from the floor.  The choice of venue is motivated by the desire to create an informal atmosphere, thus fostering more interaction between the audience and the panel.

The aim of the forum was to look at the pressing issues in a particular medium and attempt to look forward as to how they will be tackled and what other opportunities/difficulties will present themselves over the next ten years
